Nevin Power's first foray into the world of motorcycling saw him repaint a Honda Cub 50 in gloss black and then pedal it with his feet down a hill because the engine wasn't running. He was only 12 at the time. Some short spins on his Dad's range of Honda Cubs meant the two-wheeled gene was in the blood and while in university Nevin bought his first big bike, a Suzuki Bandit 600. This was followed by a venerable VFR 750 which is now coming up on 100,000 miles, and a Honda Deauville on which he commutes through rain or shine (usually rain). Nevin now has over 10 years of experience on motorbikes, ranging from short city rides, to long motorway cruises, and the odd trip to around mainland Europe two-up in the sun. Living in Cork, Ireland, Nevin's gear is put to the test in a variety of testing conditions on a daily basis making his reviews and opinions grounded in the reality that many riders face on a daily basis. A technical writer by profession, a historian by study, you can be sure he's done his homework on the gear he reviews.
