The 2020 Ducati Monster 797 is the perfect entry-level Ducati for those looking for a fun but practical ride experience, and a machine that’s just as at home on the track as it is putting in the hours commuting to and from work every day.
Designed to be the ultimate beginner Ducati machine, the Monster 797 features learner-friendly features that don’t compromise on performance or the overall Ducati experience. It boasts all of the traditional Ducati Monster hallmarks: wide handlebars, a distinctive trellis frame, a beautifully sculpted tank, and a double-sided swingarm. It’s unmistakeably Ducati.
The entry-level Ducati Monster is powered by an 803cc Desmodue twin-cylinder engine. This compact engine is capable of producing 73 horsepower and 49 lb-ft of peak torque, delivering reliable power when and where you need it, along a fluid torque curve. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an APTC wet multiplate clutch that has light actuation, making for confidence inspiring shifting—particularly in challenging urban environments.
For 2020, the Monster 797 has a wide selection of top shelf equipment, including an advanced LCD dashboard, LED lighting, 10 spoke alloy wheels, Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires, Kiyaba suspension, Brembo brakes, and Bosch 9.1 MP ABS.
