2020 Yamaha XMAX
The 2020 Yamaha XMAX is one of the offspring of the Japanese-market Yamaha X-City scooter line from the mid-2000s. Sporting a 292 cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, the XMAX is able to produce 27 crank HP and 22 lbs-ft of crank torque. Paired with an automatic transmission and belt drive to the rear wheel, the XMAX aims to be a premium maxi-scooter in an already crowded market segment.
What makes the XMAX the more desirable option is the multi-mode traction control system, a multifunction LCD nestled between two easy to read and stylish gauges, standard LED head and tail lights, standard touring windscreen, and, as with many cars these days, smart key access to storage as well as smart key pushbutton start.
The 2020 Yamaha XMAX starts at $5,699 US and is not available in Canada.
