UClear HBC Remote

Big Button Remote for UClear Intercoms

Review Summary
Pros
Cons

UClear took their own unique path with the new HBC Remote, introduced at the 2015 AIMExpo (report).

It works with any UClear HBC100 (review) or UClear HBC200 (review) intercom system.

The intercoms must have the new “Sawtooth” firmware installed first.

The remote has a strip of hook-and-loop that fits over the hand grip and the HBC Remote unit then fits over the hook-and-loop strip.

The buttons are huge, with up/down arrows forward and aft and a large LED-lighted center button for other controls.

The remote also has a micro-USB port for recharging.

The UClear HBC Remote uses Bluetooth 4.1 and the firmware can be upgraded. It uses two Lithium Ion 30mAh batteries.

Operating temperature range is claimed as -20C (-4F) to 60C (140F). The remote is labeled “Weather Resistant”.

Size: 60 x 40 x 18 mm (2.3 × 1.57 × 0.7 inches).

The UClear HBC Remote will be at retail soon with a list price of $79.99. We have one for a review, coming soon.
