webBikeWorld readers may remember our Helite “Airnest” Airbag Vest review.

There are now three good news items to report: first, Helite products are now available in the U.S.A.

Second, Helite has expanded (pun!) the lineup, with the new Helite Adventure Airbag Jacket (review).

And third, Helite has partnered with Held to offer the Helite Airnest airbag vest technology in a new Held jacket.

I viewed both of these at the 2015 AIMExpo show but I only have minimal details at this time.

The Helite Adventure jacket includes a built-in Helite Airnest vest with its Knox CE-approved “Turtle” back protector for added impact resistance.

The jacket is water resistant with an outer shell made from 600D Cordura and SuperFabric on the impact points.

It includes the “Humax” membrane technology to keep outside moisture out while also letting inside moisture escape.

The seams are heat-sealed or “welded” for additional water resistance.

The Helite Adventure jacket is available in sizes ranging from M to 4XL in European sizes. Example: size 54 translates to a U.S. XL.

The jacket in black or gray lists for $899.00, which is actually rather reasonable, considering the technology involved, including the built-in Airnest vest with Knox CE-rated back protector.

As with the Helite Airnest vest, the airbag can be used over and over simply by exchanging the CO2 cartridge for a new one.

We’ll have a Helite Adventure jacket review, along with an updated Helite airbag vest review coming soon.
