2020 Indian FTR Rally
The Indian FTR Rally is the only new offering from the FTR 1200 lineup for 2020. Sharing the same engine developed with technology from the FTR 750 Racer as the rest of the FTR 1200 line, the FTR Rally is powered by a 1,203cc liquid-cooled 60-degree v-twin that cranks out 123 HP and 87 lbs-ft of torque via a 6-speed wet-clutch transmission.
The FTR Rally comes equipped to be much more of an off-road scrambler than its more road-oriented kin. Most importantly of these is that the factory tires are Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires on 19-inch aluminum wire-spoke wheels, instead of the standard model’s Dunlop DT3-R road radials on 19-inch cast-aluminum wheels. Ground clearance remains the same at 7.2 inches, however, the handlebars are mounted 2 inches higher, and are tapered back more for easier control on rougher roads.
The FTR rally also features the same combination analog and digital single-dial as the base FTR 1200. A major difference between the two is that the Rally has a long aviator seat with more cushioning, again speaking to the intention of the bike to be taken on to actual dirt roads as it is more padded than the standard seat.
