The New Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour Is Ready to go Anywhere

Ducati Multistrada Grand tour

A Bike Packed With Creature Comforts

So, no Multistrada V4 for 2020. That’s too bad. However, Ducati isn’t letting 2020 start without putting out a new version of the Multistrada. The company has crafted what is possibly the ultimate touring machine. It calls it the Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour. It comes with a long, long list of special equipment.

You get everything you get on the typical Multistrada and then some. The Grand Tour version of the bike comes with panniers, tire pressure monitoring, heated grips, fog lamps, a new saddle, a center stand, a keyless gas cap that’s electric, and a fancy new matte paint job. All of that is standard on the bike.

The bike also comes with everything the Multistrada 1260 S gets. That means you get vehicle hold control, different ride modes, different power modes, cornering ABS, wheelie control, cruise control, backlit handlebar controls, Ducati’s multimedia system, automatic turn signal switch off, an anti-theft system, and more. The bike is powered by a 1,262cc Ducati Testastretta DVT engine that makes 158 hp.

The Grand Tour version of the Multistrada is the ultimate one. I wonder if this will be the send-off for the twin-engine. If Ducati switches over to the V4, there will be no need to keep the current engine around, plus with emissions getting stricter every year, I’d assume it’ll have to upgrade at some point.
