Caberg announced the XTRACE convertible dual-sport helmet and the UPTOWN open-face “Jet” style helmet at the EICMA show in Milan last week.

The Xtrace is a more focused dual-sport helmet that compliments the Caberg Tourmax reviewed on webBikeWorld, which is the world’s first dual-sport flip-up helmet.

The Uptown is a new open-face design that would be ideal for city, scooter, touring, commuting or general use. It’s also ready for the Caberg “Just Speak S” Bluetooth intercom system.

Caberg is one of our all-time favorite motorcycle helmet manufacturers and we hope to have more Caberg helmets for review soon!

In the meantime, here’s a slide show of the new Caberg Xtrace and Uptown, with the details below.

Caberg Xtrace Dual-Sport Helmet

Caberg introduced the XTRACE dual-sport helmet at the 2015 EICMA show, “Conceived for riders who are passionate about street enduro motorbikes but also ideal for off -road routes.”

The Xtrace can be used either as a dual-sport helmet with peak and visor or without the peak or also without the visor. The configurations can be changed without the use of tools.

The Xtrace comes in two polycarbonate shell sizes to span the size range. The smaller shell fits sizes XS to L and the larger shell fits XL and XXL sizes.

The helmet includes the Caberg Double Visor Tech (DVT) system with an integrated anti-scratch treated internal sun shade and the clear face shield is Pinlock ready and also features an anti-scratch coating.

The air vents have been designed for easy use when wearing gloves.

The two vents on top channel fresh air inside the helmet through numerous air channels in the liner, while the rear vent discharges the hot and stale air and the chin vent flows air directly to the inner side of the face shield for demisting.

The lining is completely removable and washable made with moisture-wicking fabrics.

The chin curtain under the chin guard of the helmet is removable, as is the breath guard and the chin strap has a “Micrometric” retainer.

The Xtrace comes in Matte Black or White and the graphic “LUX” version has a Matte Black base with yellow fluorescent details.

The Xtrace will be available in Europe and meets the ECE 22.05 safety standard. More information on the Caberg Helmets website.

We hope to have an Xtrace for a webBikeWorld review, so stay tuned…

The Uptown has two shell sizes in polycarbonate, with the smaller shell fitting the XS to M sizes and the larger shell fitting L to XXL heads.

The two front air vents as well as the air extractors in the rear provide ventilation, even for summer use.

The Uptown also features the Double Visor Tech system with an internal sun visor and anti-scratch treated face shield, which is also Pinlock ready.

The chin strap system has a Micrometric retainer and the helmet is fitted with a ring to secure the helmet to the motorcycle.

The lining is completely removable and washable and has moisture-wicking fabrics.

The Uptown is also ready for the Caberg “JUST SPEAK S” Bluetooth communication system, which connects to a cell phone, a passenger and also to a GPS system or for listening to music through an MP3 player or mobile phone. Just Speak S uses the Bluetooth A2DP profile.
