July 16, 2014 (Press release edited by webBikeWorld.com) – Arai has announced the VX-Pro4 off-road helmet, the successor to the Arai VX-Pro3 (details below).

Arai VX-Pro4 Details

Like all Arai helmets, the VX-Pro4 helmet shell is made entirely by hand and uses Arai’s unique R75 Shape concept.

This results in a rounder, smoother and stronger shape that will more easily glance off impacts, instead of catching.

The VX-Pro4 shell is constructed using Arai “Super Fiber” for exceptional strength and elasticity, while its uniquely rounded chin bar maintains the same compact shell length as the VX-Pro3, resulting in even less likelihood for catching or digging in during a crash.

New features of the VX-Pro4 exterior include an updated chin bar vent grill, which now mounts from the outside and can be easily removed for cleaning or damage replacement. It is also designed to break away from the chin bar during a spill.

Arai said the “Air-Through” top front, top rear and side port ducts have been improved for better ventilation on the VX-Pro4, while also being easier to clean and maintain compared to the VX-Pro3.

The new top rear duct diffusers can be easily removed or replaced simply by removing a single screw on the rear duct brace.

The VX-Pro4 sports a new peak that is 14 mm longer and 5 mm wider than the VX-Pro3 for improved debris and roost deflection. Larger air outlets in the peak also help to reduce lift and buffeting.

To aid with goggle strap positioning, the VX-Pro4 features innovative strap locators in the side port cowlings and top duct center brace, helping to keep goggles in place during aggressive riding.

Interior updates on the VX-Pro4 include the removable neck roll for convenient and easy cleaning, plus an improved emergency cheek pad release system, with tabs that are easier to access by rescue staff.

“The Arai VX-Pro3 has been one of the most acclaimed off-road helmets available” said Brian Weston, Managing Director of Arai Helmet, Inc.

“With its improved features, updated design and legendary Arai focus on rider protection, we’re confident the new VX-Pro4 will only build on that tradition.”

The all-new Arai VX-Pro4 will be available for purchase starting in October 2014, in a variety of color and graphic choices, including White, Black Frost, Tip Orange, Tip Red, Tip Blue, Tip Green, Tip Yellow and NuTech.

MSRP will be $599.95 to $609.95 for solids and $729.95 to $739.95 for graphics and racer replicas. For more information on the entire 2014 Arai lineup, visit AraiAmericas.com.
