Back in late 2022, PIERER Mobiolity Group – PMG, KTM’s parent company – bought a 25.1% stake in MV Agusta, placing two orange seats at MV Agusta’s board as the group took over distribution of the Varese motorcycles

Now, we hear KTM wants more than just 25.1% of MV Agusta, evidenced by a recent interview on DeuRuote, where Hubert Trunkenpolz (one of PIERER’s executive members) was quoted as having stated that, “MV Agusta is a gem, it deserves more visibility, and we will take control of it in a reasonable time.”

“MV Agusta will enter our perimeter. It will be a luxury brand, and we aim for 12 thousand motorcycles a year… We want to invest heavily in the Varese plant over the next two years. But first, we need to work on the sales and commercial network, develop a business that is sustainable for MV Agusta.”
