Never Get Lost Again. Our Editors Review The Top GPS & Navigation Units for Your Motorcycle
Who needs a GPS anymore now that we all have a smartphone? It’s a good question that we often ask ourselves here a wBW. We keep coming back to the fact that dedicated GPS units have functionality that makes life a little easier while riding.
Given the higher levels of vibration and the generally harsher conditions on a motorcycle, dedicated GPS units are better than an iPhone at getting beat up. Same goes for when trying to update an iPhone while riding, with gloves. Glove friendly displays are now a standard feature of many of the top rated motorcycle GPS units as is custom software that lets riders map points along their longer rides and customize routes (via mountain pass please).
Some other helpful articles include general information on buying a GPS on Joe Mahaffey’s GPS site; it has tons of info on GPS receiver information; software; hardware; reviews of Garmin, Lowrance, and Magellan.
We get questions about mounting so check out our Garmin GPS motorcycle handlebar mount article for how to mount a GPS on your motorcycle. If you need a specific mount the guys at Amazon have a big selection as does RevZilla.
Disclosure: We make money (and keep the site running) through ads and affiliate links. That means that when you click a link to sites like RevZilla or Amazon you are supporting us because we may get a commission if you purchase. We have developed a policy that you can find here but the gist is that our reviews are 100% unbiased and we don’t take payments or allow potential commissions to dictate what we say about products.

webBikeWorld has worked closely with RevZilla over the years to provide our testers with products to review. In addition to being a great site to shop from, they’re also a great partner. Both Amazon and Revzilla have a big selection of helmets from the great helmet manufacturers.
