Heavy Duty Scrambling: The 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC
If you’re looking for something with street smarts and off-road ruggedness from the 2021 Triumph line-up, but need a bit more grunt than the Street Scrambler offers, then the Scrambler 1200 XC is what you need. It’s a British-made scrambler with real road-going performance with trail-ready stats to match.
The Scrambler 1200 XC uses the same 1200cc parallel twin Bonneville engine that graces other Triumph motorcycles, with a slightly different tuning. The result is a power output of 89 horsepower and 81.1 lb-ft of peak torque. That power is kept in line by no less than five riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport, Off-road, and Rider-Configurable – along with Ride-by-Wire technology, ABS, and traction control.
The Scrambler 1200 XC is more than just a scrambler lookalike. It boasts long travel USD forks, long-travel rear shocks, a long travel aluminum swingarm, and adjustable handlebars to give riders the ultimate off-road experience. Other handy extras include LED lighting, keyless ignition, cruise control, an immobilizer, and a USB charging port.
For 2021, the Scrambler 1200 XC is available in two color options: Khaki Green & Brooklands Green, and Jet Black & Matte Black.
The 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC starts from $14,000 USD / $15,200 CAD.
