Royal Enfield Himalayan Spotted With Tripper Navigation

More Gauges For Going the Distance

Our friends over at Gaadi Waadi posted a picture to their Facebook account of a spy shot showing the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan with what looks to be an extra gauge cluster.

2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan Spied With Tripper Navigation

The current 2020 model currently has only four gauges on the dash, so it will be interesting to see what Royal Enfield has in plan for this extra dash ornament.

As of right now, the Himalayan dash comes complete with a compass/fuel gauge duo, an analog speedometer, and an analog tachometer. The current generation of Meteor 350 brought us the introduction of the digital Tripper dial, so I assume this new extra gauge seeing on the test unit is most likely the Tripper dial carried over from the Meteor.

The Tripper display is a navigation system containing a digital TFT display and GPS to help you reach your destination without taking your hands off the handlebars. This would be a valuable upgrade for the Himalayan, as it’s marketed as an “adventure” bike.

It wouldn’t make much sense for Royal Enfield to develop an entire navigation system to selfishly limit the technology to a single model on their lineup, so let’s hope the Himalayan indeed gets the Tripper treatment as it could be a major selling point for the bike.
