The 2021 BMW R NineT: Unmistakable. Original. Air-cooled.
Contents
The 2021 BMW R nineT is the flagship heritage model from European manufacturer BMW Motorrad. Though it has been a standard feature in the brand’s arsenal for many years, it has received a small update for 2021 to bring it in line with new emissions regulations. While the updates might be minimal, the R nineT is still one of the most exciting models in the 2021 BMW line-up.
The most noticeable updates for 2021 are minor engine tweaks. All of the models in the R nineT range use a 1,170cc air/oil-cooled, 4-stroke flat twin engine, and thanks to new and improved cylinder heads, the 2021 R nineT now produces a modest 109 horsepower and 86 lb-ft of torque. Even with new emissions compliance regulations, the R nineT is still a veritable powerhouse.
Top features of the new R nineT include ABS, Automatic Stability Control, adjustable rear suspension, adjustable USD front forks, spoked wheels, a chrome exhaust, and a sleek aluminum gas tank.
For 2021, the R nineT is available in four original BMW Motorrad color options: Black Storm Metallic; Black Storm Metallic / Vintage; Option 719 Pollux Metallic / Aluminum; and Option 719 Mars Red Metallic Matte / Cosmic Blue Metallic Matte.
The 2021 BMW R NineT starts at $15,495 USD / $17,500 CAD.
