The Illustrated Triumph Motorcycle Buyer's Guide - wBW Book Review
by Roy Bacon More: Triumph Twins and Triples by Tim Remus | Triumph Racing America | Triumph Buyer's Guide | wBW Vintage, Classic, Antique Motorcycles Page | Triumph and British Motorcycles Page This edition is one of a series of books in the "Illustrated Buyer's Guide" series (such as the BMW Buyer's Guide described above), which use a similar format to describe and illustrate a particular marque. They are successful because they have just enough information to delight anyone other than the true aficionado. This book focuses primarily on the
post-war evolution of Triumph motorcycles, right up to the modern
Hinckley triples and fours. It seems to be a bit weak just
where it shouldn't be -- in it's coverage of the famous
Bonneville. It takes a bit of study to really understand which
year produced the best Bonnevilles, as the author's description of
their history gets a bit muddled. This is a very good guide and
reference for either the casual or serious Triumph fan.
