Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS Adventure

2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS “Adventure” Quick Pics

The 2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS was introduced in the U.S.A. at the inaugural AIMExpo show in Orlando, Florida in October of 2013.

I immediately ordered the “Adventure” version for the next webBikeWorld project bike and it arrived yesterday at the local dealer, JT Motorsports in Frederick, Maryland.

I took a few quick pics (below) on the showroom floor and I’ll pick up the bike later this week, when I’ll take more detailed photos and a video.

More info also below the pics…

Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS Options and Accessories

I have more information on the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS Introduction page, with list prices of the standard and Adventure versions. The Adventure comes with the locking panniers, a crash bar that can be used for mounting lights or other accessories, a taller windscreen and a rather flimsy plastic bash plate that does nothing for bashing but adds some style.

I’m sure the aftermarket will quickly develop better solutions…. Suzuki accessories include an aluminum bash plate, top box, tank bag, lights, a lower and taller seat option and heated grips, among others.

I also ordered the Suzuki center stand kit and tank bag. I’ll have more info on the accessory prices later this week; the list prices in the U.S.A. for the DL1000A are $12,699.00 for the Standard and $13,999.00 for the Adventure. If you don’t want the crash bar and taller windscreen and the plastic bash plate, the Standard version may be the better deal, although plan on spending $600.00 to maybe $900.00 for a set of bags with mounting rack from the aftermarket.

We’ll also set up a Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS Blog for the bike, where we’ll review the various accessories we find on the aftermarket. First up will probably be a set of LED lights.

More info and the Blog coming soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, if you have any questions about this bike or would like to see specific photos, let me know.
