Wild Hog diesel rides on bacon-power

Wild Hog bacon bike

In a promotion for an American bacon producer, a diesel motorcycle has been specially adapted to ride on bacon fat.
This “Wild Hog” is based on the rare Track T800 CDI motorcycle from Dutch company EVA Products which is powered by an 800cc three-cylinder diesel engine. It has been modified to run on 100% biodiesel and, of course, features a pig-skin seat.
The promotion for Hormel Black Label Bacon uses biodiesel produced from bacon grease, so it has a “breakfast” smell from the exhaust. They are taking the bike across America and using social media to get their message across.
It’s certainly a cool-looking bike and a great promotional campaign, but beware of the message about biofuels. It is not good fuel for motorcycles.
