Why do you need such a device?  The Baker Fullbody "Ventilator" Shoulder Saver hanger does just that -- it's designed to open the jacket or leathers really wide to flow the maximum amount of air through both the inside and outside of the garment.  This promotes faster drying and helps prevent shape deformation.

We had some really nasty sticky days this summer and the closet where I keep my riding clothes can get pretty stuffy.  My normal drill was to lay my jacket over the back of a wooden chair to try and get some air to circulate up through the interior in hopes of airing it out before the next ride, but this is a pretty lame method and it can also deform the shoulder profile.

The Ventilator hanger is just the ticket for hanging jackets or leathers, because not only does it help the garment to dry faster, it also helps to eliminate "shoulder peak" that occurs from regular hangers -- that is, if you can find a regular hanger that won't break under the weight of a heavy motorcycle jacket or full set of leathers.

Baker Fullbody Products claims that the Ventilator can hold up to 100 lbs. on its ABS plastic body.  The hanger's hook is made from 303 stainless steel to prevent corrosion.  The actual dimensions of the Ventilator are 5" wide by 23" long, so I don't think you're going to find something like this in your local Wal-Mart.

The "Flex-Swivel Hook^®" feature lets the hanging hook swivel 360 degrees to accommodate left or right side hanging.  It also allows the hook to move a bit from side to side, which gives it some swing room to help prevent breaking and makes it a bit easier to place a heavy garment on the rack in your closet.  The hook can also be locked in place by tightening a nut underneath.  An optional second hook is also available that screws on to the bottom of the main hook and allows hanging of accessories like pants or gloves.

The Ventilator is available in black, blue, yellow and white.  It comes in the large size shown here for adults and it's also available in a smaller size for youngsters.  The adult size can hold garments from size S to XXXL, and the youth size holds garments from sizes youth to adult XS.  You may think 20 bucks is a lot for a hanger, but with decent motorcycle jackets going for $400 or so, and a set of leathers for maybe twice that, it pays to spend a few bucks on a proper hanger to keep them in good shape.
