Defender GTX Jacket
The next new jacket in the Rev'it Gore-Tex lineup is the Defender GTX, which looks somewhat similar to the famed Cayenne Pro jacket.

It features a 500 denier genuine Cordura shell with DuPont Teflon coating to reduce water absorption at the shell layer. The Defender GTX also has 1000 denier special rip-stop material used in crucial areas like the shoulders.

It has the Gore-Tex Performance Shell waterproof liner and more traditional "hatch" type vents on the chest, but with the Rev'it "3D" mesh, which we discussed in our 2010 Rev'it clothing introduction. This keeps the mesh from pressing against the rider's skin and provides higher air flow than a simple mesh fabric.

The Defender GTX includes the Exkin insulating liner, which can be mixed-and-matched with the Gore-Tex Performance Shell liner. The jacket also features perforated (and very cool-looking) Superfabric on the arms, Prym metal snaps and locking zippers.

Defender GTX pants are available to make up the Defender GTX suit. The pants match the jacket features, with Superfabric, the Exkin liner and matching vents. Both the jacket and trousers are available in either black, silver/black or silver/black with red accents (my favorite!).
