Rev'it Apache Boots

UPDATE: June
2008 - See our
Rev'it Apache Boots full review!
February 21, 2008 - Rev'it has developed the
Apache boot, a completely new type of motorcycle
adventure touring boot that incorporates many new and
interesting features.
One of the most interesting features of the Apache
boot is the lugged sole. A lot of thought has gone
into the lugs and the soles, which are designed for ease
of walking but also for riding. The lugs have a
unique shape; they're canted back to allow the boot to
dig in to soft earth or stones, but they have a flat
profile when you view across the bottom of the sole.
The soles use the same compound curves on the bottom
as the newly redesigned Freestyle boots (see
our report), which help to align the rider's foot
correctly on the foot pegs but also help to make walking
easier. Only Rev'it would spend this much time and
effort on designing a boot sole and lugs specifically
for motorcycling!
I didn't get a chance to weigh the Apache boots, but
they feel amazingly light and they also look fantastic!
They have full armor in the toes, heel cup and
ankles. Everything is double-stitched and they use
very high quality leather. They have a Hipora
waterproof and breathable liner.
These are serious adventure riding boots and we hope
to have a review soon. In the meantime, here's the
Rev'it 2008 online catalog and here are
